Club Welfare

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ruth Loveman and I’d like to introduce myself as CoStA's Welfare Officer. I am new to this position (January 2016) although having been in education for 30 years am very familiar with many aspects of the role and have been associated with CoStA for about 10 years.

CoStA is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all swimmers and it is my role within the club to promote the importance of safeguarding to all children and young adults by following the ASA’s Wavepower Policy for Safeguarding Children. This ensures that all coaches, older swimmers, parents and volunteers are fully aware of the duty of care that we ALL have to these younger members.

As Club Welfare Officer I act as a point of contact for any person who has a concern about child welfare and protection – please feel free to contact me via Email:welfare@costaasc.org Furthermore I do try to get to training on a Sunday evening (6 – 9pm) at the boys school and Monday evening (7 – 9pm) at Westminster Lodge. However, if this is not convenient then I am happy to meet at another time or venue.

Best wishes and I look forward to meeting those of you that I do not know, Ruth Loveman.
