Our History
The City of St Albans Swimming Club (known to all as CoStA) has existed in its current form for around 60 years and many swimmers have come through the club in that time. Since our founding numerous swimmers have progressed through our 'Learn to Swim' squads to either our recreational or competitive squads and have been introduced to the joys, social and health benefits of swimming.
Age is also no barrier as we have a thriving Masters (20 yrs and over) section, St Albans Masters, where you can continue swimming long after you may have to give up other sports.
In 2012 CoStA are having our most successful year ever with a 4th place finish for our A team in the Hertfordshire Major League Division One and a 5th place finish for our B team in Division Two. We have our highest ever representation at the Herts County Championships, at Regional and, for the first time, National level.
We are a community based sports club open to all. Whether you are a recreational swimmer or wanting to further your competitive swimming skills or return to swimming after a break you are welcome to 'try out' and join us.
